The Underground Railroad Story is one of the most dramatic chapters in America's Civil War History. It is a story about how countless slaves made their way out of bondage, risking death for freedom. There were 10 quilts that were used to direct slaves to get ready for escape. There were 15 blocks and the book shares the historical significance of each one, and then provides instructions to make them in either 12in or 6in blocks. Directions for a story block and quilt label are included, as are complete finishing and binding instructions.
